» Susan Keeping - Re: Thanks Where did you play Ophelia? It must have been a challenging role.In response to message posted by Tricia_S: -- posted by Susan Keeping » Tricia_S - Re: being in the plays In response to message posted by billie0:I was still in high school. I think I was about fourteen. It was in fact a school play chosen by an ambitious English teacher/director. I remember especially enjoying Ophelia's crazy scene and the funeral, where I got to play dead. It was a fast costume change and I had only a moment to cover up my blush with gray base. I looked quite tragic I'm told. Later I played Lady MacBeth's gentlewoman for Shakespeare in the Park in Arcata, Calif. Being in those two plays gave me a special understanding of them. I'm curious if anyone else in these discussions performed Shakespeare. Is that what drew you into the plays or was it simply from reading them and seeing them performed on stage or on film?
