What are those gorgeous acid green leaves: I ALMOST lost the margaritas
This archived discussion is "read only".
» LadyB - I ALMOST lost the margaritas I put the three cuttings in a glass vase on my dining table and they all made roots in about 3 days. I think I potted them at 5 days. The 'blackie' has never flagged at all, but the margaritas drooped spectacularly. I grabbed them immediately and popped them in my propagating chamber where a mist-head goes off every time the screen flapper dries out enough to rise up and set off the switch. It took a good week to revive them, but they're back on the bench in the greenhouse now looking quite splendid. To me they look like Purina Whitefly Chow, so I'm going to keep an eagle eye on them during the winter.Sonni, you're close enough to me that I may be able to take more cuttings (especially if they're 'flowing' all over the greenhouse by winter's end) PS I saw the new Logee's catalog when the Philipstown Garden club was here at Glynwood for their meeting. TOTAL DROOL-FEST. Also started clambering around in the Thompson & Morgan seed catalog yesterday while waiting to have a tire fixed. (And Carol wonders what we're going to do all winter.....shopping frenzy in the seed catalogs!!!) -- posted by LadyB
