Hey, Marge--go for the Canadian hemlock! As you know, we have a ton of huge conifers on our property. Many of them are quite impressive, but the Canadian hemlock, which I can see from my window as I type, is by far the most graceful. It was even a joy to behold in the winter, when there was nothing else to see from my second story study except bare branches.

Admit it--it will be great to have some sun to garden in for a change, won't it?

I have to agree, Carol, about the Canadian Hemlock. I call it the garden's lace.

It's situated in a conspicuous spot, so I get to admire it often.
