» Marge_Talt - great combo...jealousy and paint

Wow, Gay...that combo of P serrulata and creeping rosemary does sound super....take a photo of that while you're out with the camera:-) Seriously, would love to see it.

Do know what you mean about needing to organize photos..mine are overflowing two shoe boxes and getting worn out from flipping through them. I started out trying to divide them into sections but never got it finished...and, of course, I take them out to scan and don't put them back in the right place ..one of my many faults..

Two snakebark maples...I am so totally jealous and that was quite a nice trade.

I can't imagine painting a birch trunk, but people will do anything, I verily do believe. I should think it would depend on what kind of paint was used as whitewash is - or used to be - used a lot on young trunks to protect them from sunscald...whether it did any good, I do not know.

But painting a white barked birch is rather like carrying coals to Newcastle...
