Gorgeous, isn't it??-- posted by CarolWallace » CarolWallace - Unfortunately, no Or they may be online - the nursery that carries them - but they are strictly wholesale. My own nursery is online - http://www.greystone-g.com - but he doesn't do mail order and doesn't carry many heuchera because they don't do well for him personally. Both his manager andI keep swearing t him that they do beautifully here - but he won't sell anything he can't grow well.-- posted by CarolWallace » CarolWallace - Here you go, Billie <img SRC="http://www.suite101.com/files/topics/75/..."> Dale's Strain. Actually, it is a bit greener than the picture shows - but this gives a pretty good idea.-- posted by CarolWallace » Marge_Talt - 'Silver Scrolls' & 'Dale's Strain' Well, 'Silver Scrolls'is one of Primrose Path's new introductions for 1999 and on my total lust list. They sell both retail and wholesale, Carol, so bet that's where Greystone got theirs, esp. since P.P. is also in PA.Martha Oliver, of P.P., told me, when I did the article on them, that they will sell anyting on either their wholesale or retail lists..so, Billie, surf on over there and check it out. Also, my brain has truly died...P.P. also carries 'Dales Strain'. I should know that, all the time I've spent poking around that site, but it totally left the old brain. Think the price was something like $4.95 ea. Very nice pix of 'Dale's Strain', Carol...your dig. camera is doing good! -- posted by Marge_Talt » Marge_Talt - Crambe Hmmmm....Carol, could easily have missremembered that plant...it stuck in my mind as hairy...it was basically bug food - full of holes from day one and never bloomed...am sure it was not sited properly or maybe hates my weather. I saw it in the UK once and it was a lovely thing, as I recall, and I simply had to have it...not to be..Anyway, my guess on the mystery plant was sure a dud! Wonder what it was? -- posted by Marge_Talt » Deb_TT - Ferns, Lime Frost foliage etc Thanks Carol, I think I shall try the "fernachera" combo then. Have you ever mentioned the combo? I know when I planted the 'Pewter Veil', the idea came to me out of no where, so wondered if I picked up on that in one of your articles?Marge, the 'Lime Frost' foliage is wonderful. I will try to get a photo of it soon and get it close to what it looks like in person. Very refreshing! -- posted by Deb_TT » CarolWallace - I didn't mention it, Debbie But I've had photos up a couple of times of that secton of the garden - whenever I get on one of those kicks where I am promoting leaves as teh basis for a good garden.-- posted by CarolWallace » Marge_Talt - 'Lime Frost' Oh, Debbie, please do post a photo...and while you're at it, put up one of the fernchera combo.I've been thinking contrasts with the pots of Heuchera I've got - waiting for me to attack that front bed once I've finished the place to move all that phlox. Plan to put your L. Baggeson's Gold there with purple leaf Heuchera and this quite nifty gold Carex a friend gave me. Had not zeroed in on echoes...hmmm...may have to change my tune here as I happen to have one pot of Japanese Painted Fern from division sitting here looking for a home...hmmmm.... -- posted by Marge_Talt « Previous 1 2 3 4 Next » Please follow the guidelines set forth in the Suite101 Posting Etiquette when adding to the discussion. |
