Great article Marge!
I saw boxes of 4 bareoot H. niger at Costco for $6.99. I picked up a box and planted them this weekend. Hopefully they will survive. Can't beat the price.
There is a breeder in West Va. that specializes in Hellebores and may even have the US collection. I'm not sure if that is correct or not. It's been many years since I've dealt with him. I remember his plants were small but very inexpensive. I didn't buy any Hellebores from him at that time but did spend a lot of $$. He turned me onto many new types of plants that I was unfamiliar with at that time. I think he had a web site but can't reall much else.
