african ivy problem: Invasive
This archived discussion is "read only".
» biogardener - Invasive Most ivies are as invasive as Virginia creeper and are difficult to get rid off. Makes me wonder who planted it to begin with. It certainly robs the underlying tree roots of nutrients and water. You would have to feed the trees with a root feeder which leads water and nutrients directly to the tree roots. In dry areas, not even grass is allowed to grow under trees. The soil is usually just covered with woodchips or similar mulch. It still needs to be weeded regularly, though.-- posted by biogardener
