» dsidwell - Books and Stories with Education Elements?

Hi all! I'm currently doing some research on sci-fi and education, looking at works that treat education in some way (non-military, preferrably).

For example, in Martian Time Slip by Philip K. Dick, there is a great scene in which school consists of robots crafted to look like grandparents who sit around with kids on their laps and answer questions that kids have about the world around them.

I believe Asimov has a story about learning via computer that was written in the 50s or 60s.

Neil Stephen's The Diamond Age posits an interactive book that tailor-makes itself to the learner.

If you know of more works in which education is envisioned or described, I'd love to hear from you!
