Friendship in the Movies

» ahunter - Friendship in the Movies A friend of mine served as guest editor in April at my topic of friendship. He's a movie buff and wrote about friendship in the movies for me. As follow-up to his article, I'd like to know:What examples of friendship can you think of from fantasy movies? Also, what lessons can we learn from the portrayed friendships? Liz, you recommended Enemy Mine to me. I don't recall having seen it, so will check it out. I mentioned it to my friend. He agreed that it was definitely a good movie about friendship! You also recommended Fellowship of the Ring and referred to the loyalty of Sam Gamgee. Having read the book and seen the movie, I agree! Thanks for your recommendations. I'll be back later to read more of your reviews..... -- posted by ahunter » ahunter - Friendship in the Star Trek Series In response to message posted by CBJ:Actually, I think all of the Star Trek series have excellent examples of friendship. In the original series, we have Kirk and Spock. In The Next Generation, as you observed, we have Geordi and Data. And in the Voyager series, we have the Doctor and Seven. Well, I guess I can't speak for the Deep Space series or the newest one, because I haven't seen either of them.... Thanks for your input, Christopher! -- posted by ahunter » taffywaffycat007 - Friendship in the Movies In response to Friendship in the Movies posted by ahunter:I had never seen the movie, but the television series from the late 1980's "Alien Nation" featured the friendship between the human character and the alien character.
