I have found a way of creating my own retreats, though. Just getting away from home to a place where I cannot be reached by anyone, where I can enjoy the company of likeminded people, where I can take part in an activity which I enjoy and which I would not be doing at home. That's my retreat, and I have several places where I can go on retreat for a few hours at a time. That's better than not going anywhere. And I make sure that my cell phone is turned off to make sure that I am truly away from everyone.Here are my retreats:
These activities may not sound like much to able-bodied people who participate in lots of activities like this. For someone who was totally cut off from people for years because of unsurmountable problems, these activities are true retreats. -- posted by biogardener
