Self Publishing Directories

» Drithia - Directories I am curious. I want to self-publish directories of a certain type of store for either up and down the west coast, cities or regions or all of the above.I want to get the store addresses from the yellow pages, compile the addresses and sell the directories. Do I need to contact the stores for their permission and get that permission in writing or can I just compile the addresses and sell the directory that way?
