» Renie_Burghardt - Breaking Free! Wow, what a great piece! You know, when I was first divorced, I was miserable, even though the marriage had not been a happy one. It was so hard for me to live by myself; I had so many fears. But gradually, I realized that I could choose to do whatever I wanted to do with my life now. I could choose to be miserable or happy. It was all up to me. So, after a thorough examining of my life, I decided to ditch the city and move to the country. And I haven't been sorry. Life is a joy now, for I'm living the old dream that I never thought possible. Breaking free from the old ways wasn't easy though. Maybe we human beings think "miserable" is the norm!Powerful piece, Jennie. Thank you. Renie -- posted by Renie_Burghardt » penpusher - Re: Breaking Free! Renie,Well, we never know what misery brings us to. Windows are opening everyday, if we know how to seek them! Writing for this column has been my therapy as well. It is my affirmation. If I can write about it, I can live it. If I can live it, I can write about it. Best, -- posted by penpusher » jerrib - Thanks for visiting and leaving your wonderful comment, Jennie. I admire your writing, so I was very humbled at your comment. It's amazing what we can do when we set our mind to it, isn't it? And we can be just about as happy as we set our mind to be, as Renie said. Rennie, you are a true success at life, too. All the obstacles in your way have not kept you from being one of the most gracious and loving Suite folks I know. It's great to be among you two. -- posted by jerrib
