» anax - funcoland My personal experience at funcoland was very similar to the one described by Newman. I found them (the employees) to be very lazy and uninterested in helping customers...they made me feel like I was illegitimately interrupting their personal time. Also, the system as Newman described, is horribly inconvenient and pitifully representative of what they actually have in stock. And don't even think about selling games to them unless you're particularly fond of the feel of a few shiny pennies in your palm (and I mean a few).I would suggest that until funcoland reconsiders and restructures their system and improves upon the quality of their employees, they should not be patronized by the savvy consumer. With a concerted effort, and subsequent drop in sales, believe me change will come. -- posted by anax » crippler5511 - funcoland In response to funcoland posted by anax:I had a very unpleasant experience about a year ago at a FuncoLand in Waldorf Maryland. I was in the store with my small child, and I purchased a couple of games. Before I purchased them I traded in a few games. I had to wait over 20 minutes to trade in the games because the guy was too busy putting cases on the wall to help anybody. One of the games that I purchased was a Winnie the Pooh game for my child. The guy behind the counter had to make several wisecracks about a man buying the game. After he finally rang me up for my games I left. It wasnt until after I got home that I realized that the guy rang me up for extra stuff like candy that I had not noticed. I called the manager to let them know and they didnt care at all. So i went to the district manager and she basically blew me off. I will never go there again -- posted by crippler5511 » crippler5511 - funcoland In response to funcoland posted by anax:I had a very unpleasant experience about a year ago at a FuncoLand in Waldorf Maryland.
