» CChristoffersen - Questions!

Dear C A WRIGHT,

Could you help me out with a few questions?

1)Regarding Pitching, what does it mean "to throw a two seamer as well as a four seamer"--I assume they are referring to the ball used, but what is this all about?

2)What does it mean to throw a changeup?

3)I saw Shigetoshi Hasegawa pitch a week or so ago and was really impressed by his no nonsense 9th inning performance. Moyer is my favorite coming off last year. Who is your favorite Mariner pitcher (if you feel it appropriate to say)? Enjoyed catching up with your articles, I'll watch for them week to week now!

Thanks, CDC

I think the best way to answer your question is to refer you to a web page which shows pictures of all the grips and explains them in detail. Go to: http://www.jsonline.com/sports/brew/sat/...
I like to watch Pineiro right now. Has anyone heard a nickname for him yet? How 'bout Pineiro the arrow?
