» cliff_aliperti - That was an interesting history lesson,

I never knew that Edgar was related to Carmelo Martinez, a pretty forgotten ballplayer who was actually quite good for a few years in the 80s. Do you think Bret's year this season would rank as the best individual season for anyone out of the Boone-Bell clans?

Yes, by the end of the season I think Bret will have bested or equaled the best season stats of anyone out of those clans. Any thoughts on the Yankees and Mariners?

Thanks for mentioning it. Also, Griffey Jr. & Sr. were the only father & son in history to play on the same team together at the same time (Seattle 1990-91).
