Getting paid to search and Bookmark
This archived discussion is "read only".
» lookupthis - Lookupthis offers you just that Hi,lookupthis.com is a search engine with online bookmarking with a difference. It has some cool features that people may find attractive. One such feature is the Ad Space Revenue Sharing concept. According to this concept, when people bookmark on Lookupthis.com, they get paid for it. Na...LookupThis.com does not pay money... If you have observed Google makes billions from ad revenues but does not share it with others except for Google Adsense which requires you to have your own website. LookupThis does not require you to have a website. All you need to do is bookmark on lookupthis. So if you were to bookmark www.cnn.com on lookupthis then if others have not bookmarked it already, you get ownership of the Bookmark and the keyword you used to decribe CNN. So when people use the search facility of LookupThis and get the search results, the page displays an advertisment on the top. And this ad space will display the ad of the user who has the maximum number of bookmarks listed on lookupthis matching the search keyword. Users of Lookupthis.com can directly insert the advertisment and change it whenever they want to via their Account Profile. And they can sell the ad space to advertisors and thus make money. So basically lookupthis pays you for bookmarking. LookupThis makes money by displaying ads when there are no winners in the search engine result. That is everyone has equal number of bookmarks. What do you think.. Give me your opinion. Regards Gurudatt Shenoy -- posted by lookupthis
