Happy birthday, Marna. I am not bringing a birthday cake. You are the master chef, so I am sure you will supply that for your guests. I am bringing some ladybugs for good luck instead. They are a lively bunch and will keep your garden happy.

» biogardener - How's the weather at your place?

I sure hope that your birthday weather is better at your place than it is here in Winnipeg. We got 10" of extremely wet snow with terribly strong cold wind. And this is a repeat performance of last Sunday.

My poor scilla and dailies! I covered them up as best I could with dry leaves, but the wind kept blowing the leaves away until they got good an soaked. I have never seen such a May in my life.
