» weather_doctor - Re: freezing rain In response to message posted by silvan:I saw one, I saw one...or should I say a whole bunch. Last week we had a snow flurry around dawn here in Victoria, although I heard that there were several centimetres outside of town. Anywho...thanks for the interest in the ice storm article. The photos were mostly taken during a 1971 ice storm in Guelph (in the woods/field that used to be south of the Married Student Housing on Stone Road. I have more but they are in slides and have no means of getting them onto jpg format. (I know it can be done, just don't have the resources to do so). If you want to reprise an eastern Canadian gloat, check out my Weather Doctor articles ( http://www.islandnet.com/~see/weather/do... ) on the Great Victoria Snowstorm of 1996 that will be posted December 15. We received over a metre and a half of snow in three days, if you recall. Rainbows and a happy holiday season and fulfilling 2002. -- posted by weather_doctor
