Thank you for a neat article It is always fun to encourage native birds to our backyards...even if we live in the middle of a city. Kids you can sometimes build your own bird houses and feeders by participating in a kids' workshop at your local "big box" buiding stores. An adult needs to accompany you, but it would make a good Saturday project. I wish my grandsons who like to hammer, and nail were old enough Here are some links so the adult in your life can take a look at what is offered: [http://www.homedepot.com/prel80/HDUS/EN_... It sure makes birdwatching fun! Thank you! -- posted by Tina_Coruth » Red - Re: Thanks for a neat article! In response to Thanks for a neat article! posted by Cercis:Georgene, I love birds. I've had a blue bunting visiting this spring. I'd never seen one before, so went and purchased some niger. I'm not sure if he's eating it, but something is. I haven't seen him now for a couple of days. I hope he hasn't moved on. He is beautiful. Thanks for the links. It's appreciated. Kids can do such marvelous things if given the opportunity. I'm sure some of them will participate in the project. -- posted by Red » Red - Re: Re: Thanks for a neat article! Such fantastic shows are put on by these creatures. -- posted by Red
