» StCatherine - does anyone know

where Jake has been the last few episodes.

I assume he's off being a reporter somewhere. But they haven't even mentioned him.

Even at his Dad's wedding, no one said anything like, "Wish Jake could be here."

And

I just love the plot twist with Dukat being a blind beggar on Bajor. According to TV guide he has a part in the final episode. But I wish they'd just leave him where he is. LOL Or maybe even send Kai Winn to join him.

» TMBlakeley - Don't have a clue....

Although if I remember correctly he was in the final episode 'What you leave behind'. It's funny how the 'Powers that Be' always seem to shuffle the characters in and out at will, telling no one (the viewers) what's happening to them.

» StCatherine - The producers should be more careful

about pulling characters in and out. Viewers aren't stupid!

And something we are still laughing about at my house is how Nog got through Star Fleet academy so fast. It was just too unreal!!! Nog was sent to Star Fleet, but never really seemed to be away from Deep Space Nine long enough to finish a Star Fleet Academy program.

» TMBlakeley - You are absolutely right!

They should care! However, the television/movie business is a times cold and uncaring, and many good shows and characters get lost in the shuffle.

Take J. Michael Straczynski's 'Crusade', the powers that be wanted to change it into something that he didn't want it to become because it was not something he could be proud of, Straczynski said no and the powers that be cancelled production after only 13 episodes (they had been contracted for 22).

Crusade so far, has, as far as I'm concerned, the potential to have been a great show, but it didn't get a chance. Personally, I think 'we' the viewers want quality and story lines that are consistant. Not characters being moved in and out of a show like DS9 has done.
