» DSimple - Great article! And welcome to Suite101! :-)
A friend of mine's husband was diagnosed with this last year. He's had a really rough time of it. It's nice to find information like this, and I'll be sure to pass on your topic to my friend and her family.~Deborah Taylor-Hough, Contributing Editor

In response to message posted by DSimple:Thank you. I'm just thankful that there is so much information available now and so many sources of support. I'm sure your friend will appreciate the information. Best of luck for your friend's husband.

My stepson, who is African-American, was diagnosed with sarcoidosis about five years ago. Even he couldn't explain it very clearly to the family, because there wasn't much information about it. It will be very helpful to recommend to him that he read your articles and follow the links!-- posted by Barbara Nicholson Bell

In response to message posted by lourob:Hi Lou. I just read your article and wanted to tell that I enjoyed it and found it informative.
I have sarcoidosis myself. It is so true how hard it is to explain this when, as you said, we don't 'look sick' or 'gee, you look so...normal' (my personal favorite). There is never a dull moment with this. LOL 8-) Terrie
