» annej - an unexpected dream

Sometimes you don't know what your dream is until it happens to you. We had never dreamed of RVing until health reasons made it so I could no longer fly. We started thinking about an RV to get out weekends and maybe a couple of vacations a year. Of course once you have the bug it isn't long and we soon bought ourselves a trailer. We found we loved getting out spent more and more time RVing. Last summer we realized that including spring and fall weekends we had totaled over 90 days out in the trailer. By then we were dreaming of going south in the winter and my teacher husband found a way he can get away winters. We are now planning to be out all summer and winter until he can retire. So I guess you would say we are half timers. 8-)

Here two years after buying that trailer we are ready to head out in our new truck and 5th wheel to spend half the year on the road. Something we had not even considered 3 years ago has become our dream.

» RVLifestyle - Half-timing ...

...is better than no-timing at all {grin}! This is great news and I know how much you are looking forward to it.

Isn't it amazing how we find our dreams?!?

» datsnocro - "Living The Dream"

Joella and I have been full-timing for five years, in a 31 foot Class C motorhome. We've been "WorkKampers" for the past 3 years, and find that for us this is the best of all.

We subscribed to "WorkKamper News" and found over half of our jobs in that way - the rest, we just pulled into the campground and said, "Can we help?"

I'd like to see some articles on work camping, as it has been a wonderful thing for us.

In response to message posted by datsnocro:

I have read articles regarding this life on the Road. DO you have to have a partner - I am single and already have a 32' RV - just me and my cat ??
How do you make a living? Are you retired and living on pensions or what ?
If these are too personnal - forgive me.
