» kadafadine - 2003 Traveler by Holiday Rambler any owners? I just saw the 2003 Traveler Rambler (Monaco Coach Company) and wonder if anyone else out there has any knowledge of how it handles, how well built, etc. It looks so much like the Trek - in fact, floor plans are exactly like the Trek, but material used in some places seems not quite up to the Trek quality. It sure does look pretty, though! We are trying to decide between a Trek, a Lazy Daze and the Holiday Rambler Traveler. We are first time buyers and feel the smaller (26.5') size is a good starter..... I appreciate any feedback..... k -- posted by kadafadine » GLEN_BARRY - Re: 2003 Traveler by Holiday Rambler any owners? In response to message posted by kadafadine:Beaver,Safari,McKenziee and Holiday Rambler are all members of the Monaco Coach Corperation so there is reason they might look quite similar. As to the quality I don't know the top to bottom line up of these companies but I can tell you that they have all been in the business a long time. Best of luck in your ventures and keep in touch. -- posted by GLEN_BARRY » BaBaLOU41 - Re: 2003 Traveler by Holiday Rambler any owners? I own a 2003 Holiday Rambler 3011 motorhome. Before this I owned a 1999 Safari Trek 24 foot Motorhome. The Traveler has the same flooplan as a 2003 Trek. The difference between the 1999 and the 2003 is like night and day. The Traveler's ride is far superior. The new Workhorse chassis (W20) with the new Chevy 8.1L engine is an outstanding combination. It requires no steering stablizers and no engine power add on's. The difference between the 2003 Trek and the Traveler is about $12,000 cosmetic upgrades on the Trek. ($121,000 and $109,000) list price on a well equipted model.I like the Traveler. The 3011 floorplan is different than other T orT's. The bed in the ceiling is in the rear. Overall this feature, combined with the isolated cockpit sold be and I'm glad I bought it.
