RV Waterheater troubles

» emilyhorsman - No hot water

I recently purchased a used motorhome (1984 Southwind). I have waterheater switch on, but when I turn the hot water faucet on, I get hot water for about 5 seconds, then it turns to cold.
Any suggestions for me before I take it to a dealership?

It would be very dificult to speculate your problem without knowing more about your motorhome. But there are several things I can think of
1. is the water heater staying lit.
2. have you tried all faucets for hot water perhaps problem is with one faucet.
3.if you can get to the hot water pipes you can feel the tempersture along the way and maby find where the hot water stops.

ether remplace the whole unit or isntal new deeptube,
