What, Are You Crazy??: Privacy and RVingRead the article this discussion is about

» TillerBee - Privacy and RVing My sig other and I are very quiet and introspective people who enjoy our privacy and times together. We already camp and travel at least a third of the year and have been thinking about purchasing an RV for off season traveling. 15 degree nights during October camping are getting a bit cold for us.Your article points out one of our greatest hesitations about RVing. I realize most people are much more sociable then we are but the thought of staying in an RV campground where one is expected to "converse with most of the park" is an anathema to us. We currently live in the Rocky Mountains where not being on top of our neighbors is especially appealing to us. Perhaps we should be more outgoing and social as most people are but I know we won't be; it's not us. Most RV sites, mags, and writings stress the social aspect of RVing and not the enjoyment of experiencing the place be it the ocean, mountains, prairie, or where ever. I certainly respect your and most other peoples viewpoint about the social aspect of RVing but I wonder if our way will prove too standoffish to most other RVers. Any way, I guess my way of looking at RVing is not mainstream. I am enjoying and learning from your articles and especially appreciate your links. Thanks. -- posted by TillerBee
