Hi Victoria, and welcome back. I've missed you. Congratulations to your daughter for winning all those blue ribbons! And I hope Pepper comes through the operation well. Do let us know how it went.I'll check out your new ezine, too, and of course, subscribe! My irises are all blooming as well, but the tulips are long done. However, everything else is blooming, and my veggie garden is supplying me with lots of fresh spinach and leaf lettuce for my salads. The sugar snap peas are almost ready to eat, too. Isn't spring grand?

I read your last two articles last night, they were a delight! I've finally got a little time on my hands now--thank goodness!
Thanks for your congrats for Victoria--I really am so proud of her--she wants to make a career out of it, and that's fine with me!
Pepper just had her operation--Dr. White said her intestines were already through the muscle. If I'd left her she could have died! I'll be posting some pics this afternoon after downloading my camera, and explaining the procedure.
You have a lovely long growing season, Renie--here we have a short and sweet growing season, as we're up high in the mountains at 7,000 feet. We can't really get cracking with planting until the first week in June--a couple of years back, there were hard frosts until the first week in July!

Thank you for the welcome--it's good to be back! I hope life doesn't throw me anymore curve balls! I'm sure it will, though, life's made up of them.
Yes, I'm proud of my daughter--she's going to make her career with horses, which is just fine with me!
