» Red - Great article...
Victoria, this is a great article. Yes, many people waste a lot of water. When I was a child, we lived in rural southern Ontario and we didn't have a well, only a cistern. The water was not fit for drinking and we had to carry our drinking water from my grandparent's well. They lived next door. We walked across the field to get it in all seasons. In winter, we would practically freeze our fingers priming the pump.I can assure you that we didn't waste one precious drop of water in those days. Later, Dad had a well dug that produced lovely cold water from an underground spring. It was so full at times that it overflowed and ran down the driveway but he still didn't allow us to waste a drop.
The Earth's water supply is precious and we must take care of it. Thanks for this wonderful article. Please consider submitting it to the Nature's Treasures Event. It will fit perfectly under the category "Existing With Nature."
