I'd like a pointer or two on a good training program for a beginner.

My background:
I'm 34 years old and since about 2-2.5 years I have not exercised at all. I'm now ready to start again and would like to do that in planned way. Even though I was in fairly good shape two years ago I probably should start with a beginners program. My goal is to run a half-marathon by summer-99.

Thank You for your assistance.

Hi Magnus. Thanks for writing. If you will check out two articles that I have here I think a lot of your questions will be answered. First, try the
article; (you should be able to just click on these) The Beginner Runner. And also take a look at the Heart Monitor Training article. (Both are in my list called "more articles")

Both of these will give you some good ideas on how to approach your start to running.

If you still need more assistance, please post here again or email me and I will be more than happy to help further! Good luck and whay don't you let me know how it goes?
