Hints on Winter Running.Read the article this discussion is about

» Jerr - Winter Running I read the winter tips after completing my 5 k run today. It was -22 C with a stiff wind. I was clothed from head to toe, with only a slash for my eyes showing. I live in a very small town. It is the only time I can be unrecognizable. My husband said I looked gender neutral. I also enjoy the sense of accomplishment of doing something most people can't or won't do.-- posted by Jerr » Lynn - thanks for your comment. Dressing for an outside run when you live in cold regions can be almost as much fun as dressing up to go outside and play in the snow when you were a kid. It is important of course for safety reasons, but it is fun to be able to run and not be recognized.Congrats on your run! Don't forget I am collecting stories to go into my second book for late 2000. My first book, Running Forward ~ Looking Back, will be in book stores soon. (True stories about runners) Send me an e-mail if you have an event or a run that was special or significant to you in some way. Perhaps I can use it in my next book. -- posted by Lynn
