Will running reduce my saddle bags?

» oxprestt - Re: Will running reduce my saddlebags? In response to message posted by mare0:Dear mare0, I would say running will help, but a more holistic approach will help more. Running is a particulalry tiring activity, especially if you are well-built and weigh more than a thin whispy waif. So you might find circuit training a better way of burning up the calories and it will tone up more parts of your body than running alone, which can also easily lead to a bad back and sciatica. Also, be sure to eat properly - the web is full of pages on the runner's diet. Start running 5 minutes every other day until it feels comfortable, then 6 minutes until that feels comfortalbe. Try to to a bit more, then cut back slightly the next time you run - the body adapts to the stress more quickly this way e.g. 10 minutes, then 7, then 8, then 9, then 10 again, then 8, 9 , 10, 12, 10, 11, 12, 13, 10, 11 ,12, 13, 14, etc Visit my Training For Running' topic for circuit training and lots more at: htttp://www.suite101.com/articles.cfm/training_for_running Good luck and best regards, Clive Prestt -- posted by oxprestt
