I also find that my intuition comes into play like it does with the Tarot cards. I'm practicing and getting better. The best advice you gave is to not limit the reading to the text definition of the Runes.

I agree, intuition does play a good part in a reading no matter what the medium is. I think that once a person gets to know their runes (tarot cards or whatever they are using) that they'll find that intuition plays just about as much as a role in a reading as does their awareness of the meanings for the stones.
