» Tina_Coruth - Very interesting! Very interesting! I never really thought about Marie Antoinette much beyond the oft quoted statement,"Let them eat cake" and the fact that she was beheaded. You have given me a fuller picture of her. Now that I see the circumstances of her life, I feel sorry for her. She was definitely much more than what popular history presents. She made many mistakes but I don't believe she was evil, although she was widely perceived that way at the time. And (as you've probably heard) she never said "Let them eat cake."
