And then one night, her mother held that phone thing up to my ear and there was Wendy's voice coming out of it. Well, do I use the phone often? No! I don't know what that voice means. I thought Wendy was actually home, so I went to the door and waited for her to come strolling in. Oh well. She's home now and she's been behaving pretty well lately, so I guess I'll forgive her.
