You're right. I don't mention polishing the beads; however, some of the referenced articles do.

Thanx for reminding us though. Have you tried other recipes making these beads? Care to share? {g}

from a new friend that has a recipe for rose beads. She uses knitting needles for them to dry on. I have made paper beads and use skewers for them to dry on.

I've checked with Audrey Stallsmith who writes our topic on Historic Plants, and she like myself know of no early source for rose petal beads. Perhaps you could try an internet search and let us know what you find.

Jerri, Is it possible for you to give us the name and perhaps a link for that "cookbook?" Sounds fascinating smile

o.k. so here is the story....i just moved in to my childhood home..my grandmother hhad a very beautiful light yellow rose bush...since she has been gone nearly 13yrs now the bush has not been taken care of it has brown spots on the leaves. And i think there are grub things in the root ball...i need desperatley to take a start from the bush being the bush is almost 30yrs was put in a few months b 4 i was born and i would like to keep it or make some children off of it lol.. so some one please help!!!! i have no idea of what to do i dont want to kill it so if you have n e ideas e mail me at hurleychx420@yahoo.com
