Kathy, It scared the living hell out of me. Of course , I saw it in the early 70's one week after reading the book. Only the cult movie Dementia 13 altered me more. Now with that out of the way..I'm most tardy replying to your helldammer of an article in the Trawna Start (sic) re: movers and shakers of Italian theological persuasion. I think you've blown it again ! I think if you had just been a little cool , you've could have parlayed a comfy CWL chairmanship into a Roman PR position. Walk softly for a few months and then when you see the signs , tick them off again. radio

» Joelle918 - The Exorcist

I just had to comment on this one. I have seen this movie many times. Partly because it was soo taboo when I was a kid but mostly because it scared the living daylights outta me! To this day it is the ONLY movie that can make me turn on all the lights in the house and run like the devil is chasing me up the stairs! The remake got me again with the added "spider walk." Thought I was going to faint in my chair. I appreciate the power of the movie. I also appreciate the power that it portrays as this was taken from a real life happening. Of course it was revvved up a little to sell tickets! It is also my favorite example to my now Non-Catholic cousins and friends. I tell them if Satan possesses ya "Who ya gonna call?" Not Ghostbusters and certainly not any of the new fangled "lite" religions. Yes sir, that would be a job for the Catholics. May never need to use it, we can keep it in the closet forever, but it is nice knowing that it is there!!

Hope I gave everyone a smile!
