Kathy, A good follow up to the Catholic Workers piece. I can toss mud with the best of them at the things which tick me off with the R.C.'s. Yet in balance , There are so many good things in the most broad RC denomination.

» puffie449 - AA;: The Catholic Connection

I have read this artical in my big book. I was born in the Cathloic church but when I starting drinking at the age of 17 I lefted. I am 50 now and I have 11 years of sobriety and I'm also back home at the Catholic Church. AA brought me back to my faith and I love it. AA cleared my mind I was able to look at my pasted and my resentments about God and the church. By working the steps in AA out of the big book I could see where I was selfish, and dishonst and the church had nothing to do with it. I made my amends to the church through my Preist and he is very supportive of AA and did not tell me to stop. But keep going! I love My Church and AA!
