» Fingers71 - Mick Taylors Guitar instructional video

As a guitarist and huge Mick Taylor fan I found this video good but it could've been a lot better. It was poorly edited and Mick was very nervous or shy. He was only really comfortable when demonstrating things on the guitar. We all know he's a reserved guy and I don't know whether it was all the drugs in the 70's but he was extremely vague with some of his answers to Arlen Roths questions.

His Career and influences were largely glossed over. However having said that, it was great to see Micks beautiful playing close up - he really does have a great touch.

I've endlessly analysed this video. The way he mixes a lot of major pentatonic notes into his licks gives his solos a really different sound. Add to this, his delicate phrasing and fluid fingerwork.

A lot of the demos weren't explained very well and if I was a beginner guitarist I'd be struggling to comprehend a lot of it. Still, I got heaps out of this video. Be interesting to see what other people think.

I'd like to take a look at this myself, whether or not it's been done poorly or otherwise.
As far as an instructional video from Ron Wood goes......ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!! I already know how to smoke a cigarette and have a drink. Ohhhhh..you mean a GUITAR instructional video???
Yeah, I suppose I could kill two more minutes out of my life.
