The fire was caused by a controlled (?) fire break burn that got away. It took days to put it out. Probably why all the bird life were on my side of the lake? -- posted by Ixia » humorous_sage - Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Immaculate Contraption In response to Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Immaculate Contraption posted by Ixia:We have two pelican lakes in western Minnesota == but not many pelicans. By the way, I recognize that gull. We fed him our fish and chips while visiting Sydney. The fish were so undercooked that I'm not sure they had even been introduced to a stove. The chips were OK though. -- posted by humorous_sage » Renie_Burghardt - Re: Re: Mates In response to Re: Mates posted by humorous_sage:Hi Hank, I have an egret that visits my pond quite often. She/he is beautiful. I also have a Great Blue Heron visiting often. Mary, we have egrets in the Ozarks. Mr. Ixia your pelicans are beautiful! We don't have them in the Ozarks. Enjoyed the article very much, Hank. Happy Halloween! Renie -- posted by Renie_Burghardt » Ixia - Re: Re: Re: Mates In response to Re: Re: Mates posted by Renie_Burghardt:Hi Renie, thanks. Yes, there were dozens of Pelicans on this stretch of water, which is called "Lakes Entrance" and a very popular fishing and tourist resort. -- posted by Ixia » humorous_sage - Re: Re: Re: Mates In response to Re: Re: Mates posted by Renie_Burghardt:Is Fort Leonard Wood a part of the Ozarks? If so, I don't remember seeing many birds there. Just rattlesnakes. That's were I was introduced to the Army. -- posted by humorous_sage » Ixia - My mate In response to Re: Re: Re: Mates posted by humorous_sage:Goodbye friend, it seems we are destined for a changing role. -- posted by Ixia » humorous_sage - Re: My mate In response to My mate posted by Ixia:Changing role?
