» WordCharmer - Wonderful Article

I enjoyed your article Ashley. I think a lot of poetry is divine in nature. At least that is how I feel when the words just seem to flow out of no where. I'll share a couple of mine.

Light of Love

In Spring flowers and morning dew,
in falling stars and rain
I see the light of God shine through
and what a sweet refrain.

In baby’s smile and mother’s voice,
in darkness of the night,
I see the light of God shine through
and it fills me with delight.

In suffering and happiness,
in comfort and despair,
I see the light of God shine through
to let me know he’s there.

In solitude or in a crowd,
in hopelessness I know,
God’s light will always shine for me,
for he promised it was so..

“Lo, I am always with you.” Matthew 28:20

Rhapsody of Life

In the water’s mellow music,
in each storm cloud high above,
I sense a deep connection
and it fills my soul with love.
In each and every blade of grass,
in every kind of tree,
on every mountain top I find
a gift God gave to me.
In the sunrise every morning,
in stars that shine at night,
in every blooming flower
I always find delight.
In little children’s laughter,
in an old man’s friendly face,
in a baby’s tiny fingers,
I behold a simple grace.
In bird song every morning,
in waves that touch the shore,
in every living thing I find
a miracle in store.

I look forward to your series. Happy Holidays Ashley!
