» gret - Alternative spaces

Hi, Cecilia.
One of the type of places I have had the most interesting exchanges and feedback is in restaurants. Often, the patrons go there to eat really because of the ambience - real art. If there is grease-free cooking, it is a good type of space for us artists to show in. The grease factor is a big one for me, however. My HMO, Kaiser, has a huge collection of excellent original art hanging in the hallways of all of the medical and hospital facilities. I feel not the slightest bit of compunction in going over the head of a seated diner or waiting patient to see what is on the wall, and to get a closer look.

Hi Gretchen!

I didn't get into alternative spaces at all in this article, but maybe I'll cover that in September. Thanks for the tip!

Cecilia
