Just as a quick question on the subject, how do you forsee the DMCA - Digital Millenium Copyright Act(if you know about it) affecting re-engineering efforts.

What kind of precautions can we take that such laws do not restrict or prohibit advances in technology.

I just wanted to get a quick comment from you about this, if you can.
