HI,

I am not consistant in going to NA, however I do use my friends to vent, share my fears, and discuss our recovery and life as it is now. One of my best friends is very active in NA (conventions, regular meetings, etc). It works for her. I have also joined a church and when I am not able to atttend I still communicate with my higher power through prayer and reflection. Whatever you feel you need may not be a consideration since most of us that were addicted didn't know what we needed and didn't have a clue as to finding out.

Hi jlm ... glad you wrote. Yes, NA would be included here as well. The site is dedicated to looking at Recovery and Spirituality ... how 12-step work or recovery work in general could/does mix with spiritual life. I will be adding other links on the Recovery and Spirituality links area ... and it will include NA, too. I apologize for the oversight and hope you come back and visit again. I'll have a fresh article up on the site in a week.

Grace and peace,

Joe

Greetings Joe, Do you have an e-mail link? I've got a couple questions which could be better addressed there, I think. I've been quite blessed. Cold Turkey Quits (and without side-effects): marijuana, tobacco (smoking and chewing), porn, alcohol, and even worldly electronic entertainment (radio/music and TV). I'm truly a different person than I once was. God is Great!

I too am in recovery, and don't attend (NA) or (AA) meetings on a constant basis. However, since I went to treatment for my own addiction, I also returned to school to learn more about "methods" of recovery. I felt an urge to help others, and now am pursuing a degree in Psychology.

I have however, attended two conventions and a drug and alcohol conference to date. Part of my recovery has turned into a need to learn more and get totally get involved in the area of recovery.

I've found that my efforts up to now have kept me clean and sober for (20 months). I am 46.

I pray...I think...I pray again. I believe and I trust that it will all keep me clean a day longer. I just have to remember (for me) its always one day at a time and I start at the point that I am which is today.

I just wanted to share..your words made me think and remember today.

Thank You
