» Suzanne Hill - interesting

Hi Heather,
Thanks for another interesting article. My brother and his wife just had a baby, and I'm looking forward to the opportunity to read to her! They've asked me when do I think they should start reading to her, I said "Now!" Would you agree?

Hi Suzanne,
Good to see you here again. ;-) I would most certainly agree. There's something magic about a child listening to a story. It matters little what they can understand or can't. The voice soothes and comforts them. Buy them a couple of really great kids books as a present as your answer to them, then they'll have no excuse. LOL.

Reading is one of the greatest gifts we can pass on to our children, and the earlier we begin to show them our love of books, the better. Thanks for the article, Heather.

It's nice to see an article on learning to read that points out the value of the parent/child relationship and early responsiveness as being as vital a part of the process as the academic aspects. Thanks Heather.

Hi Colleen,
As you know, I couldn't agree more. Home is the best place for them to learn about books and reading. Thanks again for reading. ;-)
