I was always confused about how & where the various Drifters lineups came from. Thanks Mr. Quick for detailing how McPhatter came to them from the Dominoes, & went to the Army; Ben E. King's original name & band & the conflicted atmosphere that must have been in the studio the day of the "Boardwalk" recording. The bonus: Spector's guitar work "On Broadway"! - reminds me of a Ronco commercial ..."now how much would you pay, but wait we'll throw in a handy dandy..."
