» jeanbeanca - Denim quilt patterns?

I recently made a denim and flannel quilt. My daughter-in-law fell in love with the weight and feel of it. She would like one of her own but would like to change the pattern.

Does anyone have a nice pattern or know of any
sites that may have denim patterns?

Thanks

I know i dont have the answer to your question but where did you get the pattern for the denim quilt? My boyfriend wants me to make him a pillow out of denim and a sweatshirt and i have been looking for some sort of a pattern to start from... any ideas?

I also am looking for a pattern for a denim and flannel quilt. I saw one on ebay that was made from square blocks of denim cut from old blue jeans. They even used the pockets and seams to make the squares; then the reverse side of quilt was made from squares of red and blue cotton bandana fabric cut to match the same size of the denim squares. The denium squares were surged together to form top of quilt. Next the square pieces of bandana fabric were surged together to make the underside of quilt. The front & back sides were matched up together and then machine topstiched together to hold them in place. The outside edges of quilt were also surged together & left ragged. If anyone knows of a pattern like this available, I would be interested in obtaining it.

In response to message posted by basunshine:

I made two denim frayed quilts very easy and very nice, check out the hgtv website for simply quilts, they show exactly how to make a quilt from old jeans, and the front and back are sew at the same time, no bindings, and no batting. Then you clip the seams and wash it dry it and quilt is done. I made two quilts about 70x85 in two weeks. very easy.
