Weims vs. Vizslas

» DOGGYDO - Breed comparison

I am trying to decide between weims or vizlas. I have read responses already from the obed. trainers. I believe it was a resounding VIZSLAS VIZSLA chant!! Anyone else out there with some thoughts on this subject, I would love to read it! Seadogs with doggie-dejour comments need not appply.

An interesting question and it is great that you've been researching both breeds. For anyone unfamiliar with these breeds you can see the Vizsla at http://www.akc.org/vizsla.htm
and the Weimaraner at http://www.akc.org/weim.htm
both these dogs are from the Sporting dog group.

Simone, since you seem still in the evaluation stage, you may want to temporarily subscribe to both breed e-mail lists and read first hand what these breed owners talk about when they talk about
their dogs. There is a Vizsla mailing list which you join from http://www.apphosting.com/vizsla/

Thanks Nancy for the info. I will subscribe to both. I would also like to join both kennel clubs, if that's possible. I have a sponsor for the weim club, but could use a sponsor for the v club, if anyone is willing?! Thanks again!!
