» Tina_Coruth - Hello Adelle,

Hello Adelle,

It is a disgrace that the media ignores these stories. You won't believe where I first heard about most of these. It was on a two part episode of Nightline with Ted Koppel, and the people who are talking about it belong to the CIA! They looked at many of these horrible problems from the perspective of world peace and security. If the USA and the other industrialized nations don't want to deal with these tragic situations from a humanitarian viewpoint, they may well be forced to deal with them from a world peace and security crisis. Time to write our political leaders and get them moving. I'd like to think the world would work on solving these problems and bringing relief to people who live in such precarious circumstances just because it's the right thing to do.

Great article. Thank you.
Tina

It makes you wonder if we have lost our humanity. I was horrified at these stories as well. I hope that people will pay attention to groups such as Doctors Without Borders.

Adelle
