» Tina_Coruth - These articles are excellent.

Hi Adelle,

These articles are excellent. I don't know what the answer could be. Years ago, before the HMO's took over, there were allegations that some doctors were calling for unnessary surgical procedures in an effort to boost their incomes. At least some of these allegations were proven to be true and that really scared the public. Now the pendulum has swung the other way. Doctors can't give their patients the care needed because of non medical personnel at the HMOs. I wish someone would figure out how we can come to a "happy medium". I'm not optimistic.

Tina

I agree. I am worried we may lose so many ER's that patient care will be seriously compromised. What people don't realize is that this is a real situation and it isn't like the show "ER". That is fantasy. The reality is way different.
