These plants are really not very aggressive. I don't know why the opposition to this wonderful shrub. Every spring, and every fall, they create new growth, but using 1/2 hour per year (!!) you can keep them contained. It is really not a very aggresive shrub, and certainly does not deserve the name "noxious".. That is my opinion.
