I couldn;t manage that when I had a track of 200! I'd also like to know why a publisher accepted a book with a heroine who had cancer while rejecting mine with a diabetic heroine on "health" grounds... and why Harry Potter was published when all MY publishers were saying NO WITCHES. And why Unfortunate Events was published when MY publishers were saying - NO GOTHICS. And so on.

About the cancer acceptance -- maybe this is because cancer, being deathly, is more pressing a concern than diabetes? I'm not totally sure, just a thought. As for the NO GOTHICS or WITCHES. It sounds like America has the whole Hollywood movie thing going for it and is influenced by books that would make great movies -- so MOVE HERE ;)
